Baylor Experience Assessment Review (BEAR)
The Baylor Experience Assessment Review (BEAR) depicts the 39 competencies across the 7 domains broken up by the MHA core classes. Students conduct a pre-didactic year Joint Medical Executive Skills Executive (JMESI) assessment as well as a pre-didactic self assessment. Upon completion of each semester, every student completes a self-assessment on competencies relative to the classes taken during the respective semester. During the residency, students conduct another self-assessment along with an assessment completed by their preceptor.
Competencies are rated on a scale from 0 to 10.
0 = None (Black)
1-4 = Knowledge (Yellow)
5-7 = Application (Orange)
8-10 = Expert (Green)
